Having initially studied landscape horticulture Andy then worked in the construction industry. Having worked on both large housing development sites and also for small builders doing domestic extensions he then, in 1993, got a job with one of the first companies installing Patterned Imprinted Concrete in the UK. This company was part of a Creteprint franchise operation bringing the product over from Australia. “This was a great benefit as there was a lot of onsite training provided by people brought over to get the product established.”
During this initial employment, and then subsequently working in the Pattern Imprinted Concrete industry all round the country, he gained invaluable knowledge with regards to both the correct installation practices for laying concrete as well as techniques for getting the best aesthetic results.
In 1998 Andy started ReadyPave Ltd and has since been working on a diverse range of domestic and commercial Decorative Concrete projects. In 2000 he was invited onto the panel set up by the Construction Industry Training Board to help set the assesment standards for Decorative Concrete Paving.
